2. Visiting my website

When you visit my website, the web server processes information that is technically necessary. This may include, in particular:

• IP address or anonymised IP address
• date and time of access
• webpage or file accessed
• referrer URL
• browser type and browser version
• operating system used
• device type used
• amount of data transferred, and
• other technically necessary connection and access data

This data is required to ensure that my website functions properly and can be provided securely and reliably. It may also be used to detect and ward off technical problems or attacks on the website.

Processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in being able to operate my website securely, without technical faults and reliably.

3. Hosting by united-domains

My website is hosted by united-domains GmbH, Gautinger Straße 10, 82319 Starnberg, Germany.

According to united-domains, the web space included in the hosting package I use is provided by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. According to united-domains, the data is processed on IONOS's servers in Germany.

In connection with visits to my website, the following data in particular may be processed:

• referrer or previously visited website
• webpage or file accessed
• browser type and version
• operating system used
• device type used
• time of access
• IP address in anonymised form

According to united-domains, such data is generally stored by IONOS for 8 weeks for the purposes of security and the stability of the service.

Furthermore, according to united-domains, access data is stored in Apache log format for 14 days for security reasons and is subsequently deleted, including any corresponding backups.

This processing serves to technically provide and secure my website and is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

A data processing agreement (DPA) in accordance with Article 28 of the GDPR may be required for the hosting service I use. united-domains provides a corresponding DPA for its customers.

4. Contacting me by email

On my website, you will find various ways to contact me by email.

If you send me an email, I will process the personal data you provide. This may include, for example:

• your name
• your email address
• the content of your message, and
• any further details you voluntarily provide to me

I use this data solely to process your enquiry and, where necessary, to contact you.

If your enquiry relates to a potential or existing contract, the processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.

In other cases, processing is carried out on the basis of my legitimate interest in responding to and processing your enquiry in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

I will delete the data as soon as the enquiry has been fully processed and there are no statutory retention obligations or other reasons for further storage.

5. Cookies and tracking

As things stand, my website does not use cookies for analytics, tracking or marketing purposes, nor does it use any comparable tracking technologies.

In particular, I do not currently use services such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel or comparable analytics and marketing services.

Should any analytics, marketing, tracking or other services requiring consent be used in future, I will amend this privacy policy accordingly and – where necessary – obtain consent prior to their use.

6. Social media links

My website contains links to my profiles on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. These are exclusively standard external links – I do not embed any social media feeds, 'Like' buttons or similar plugins directly into my website. Simply visiting my website therefore does not establish a connection to these platforms; only when you click on a link do the privacy policies of the respective provider apply.

7. Duration of storage

As a general rule, I store personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose.

Once the purpose of the processing no longer applies and there are no statutory retention obligations or other legal grounds for further storage, I shall delete the data in question.

For technical access data, the retention periods specified in the section 'Hosting by united-domains' also apply.

8. Your rights

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have the following rights in particular:

Right of access
You may, in accordance with Article 15 of the GDPR, request information about which personal data I process concerning you.

Right to rectification
You may, in accordance with Article 16 of the GDPR, request the rectification of inaccurate personal data.

Right to erasure
You may, in accordance with Article 17 of the GDPR and subject to the statutory conditions, request the erasure of your personal data.

Right to restriction of processing
You may, in accordance with Article 18 of the GDPR and subject to certain conditions, request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

Right to data portability
In accordance with Article 20 of the GDPR, subject to the statutory conditions, you may request that I provide you with the personal data you have supplied to me in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

Right to object
In accordance with Article 21 of the GDPR, you may object to the processing of your personal data on grounds relating to your particular situation, provided that the processing is based on Article 6(1)(e) or (f) of the GDPR.

9. Withdrawal of consent

Where I process personal data on the basis of your consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

The lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of your consent up to the point of withdrawal remains unaffected.

10. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

In accordance with Article 77 of the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding the processing of your personal data.

In particular, the complaint may be lodged with the data protection supervisory authority responsible for your place of residence, your place of work or the place where the alleged data protection breach occurred.
